Giga Solution provides integrated RFIC wafer level testing solutions for GCT, speeding up product to the market

Hsinchu, Sep.24, 2003 – Giga Solution, the leading RF services company, announced today that it has provided GCT Semiconductor, an industry leader in radio frequency (RF) integrated circuits (ICs) for wireless devices, wafer level testing services on CMOS RFIC (Radio Frequency Integrated Circuit) which is applied to handset and WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network), successfully improving the yield rate and reducing the time to market.

Based on technical experiences of RF wafer-level integrated service, GS overcame the challenges in verification and qualification of probe, which are key technologies in RF wafer testing. Using VNA (Vector Network Analyzer) instead of probe analyzer, the engineers verified the RF probe trace performance to qualify the probe card. In further, the complete SOP (Standard Operation Procedure) and practiced operation of prober ensured the production efficiency from errors and also decreased testing time. Furthermore, GS successfully controlled the stability and repeatability, which are regarded as the most important parts of RF wafer level testing.
